Is a serial killer dubbed The Pusher stalking Manchester's canals? Experts fear 'an extremely disturbed individual' could be responsible for 28 unexplained deaths (Anon, 2017)


Last year I created work about The Pusher, a mysterious killer known as The Pusher, was drowning people the canal. The deaths were not in one area there were all over greater Manchester where the canal system runs through. There is no evidence to connect these drownings to anyone. There was no sign of a struggle, fight or resistant which didn't make sense. As part of my group SalfordShutterUp we created a exhibition based around The Pusher. I created evidence that would expect to find at a crime scene. Meaning i created work using the canal water to create hand print and foot prints to suggest activity by the waters edge. I was the handprint images to use for my portfolio but i wanted to improve my footprint images. This time i used a flash gun which i think make these images look more authentic to what a crime scene images look like. However i prefer all three of theses foot print images to the handprint s one s. Therefore for my portfolio i may have have only one or two handprint and all three footprints images. I think  what has made these images look better is the flash gun the bright light the gun omits makes the images clear than my previous footprint images.
