We visited Calumet which is a  chain of photographic stores which offers equipment to buy or to rent for photographers who are usually students or just starting out as professionals.There are stores in London,Edinburgh,Glasgow, Bristol ,Belfast and Manchester. We visited the manchester store. The rental side of Calumet allows you to try out camera equipment from the film cameras to the latest equipment. The option to rent allows you to try out equipment  before you make a big investment to buy it. the option to rent equipment does interest me as i can use the latest equipment without buying it. 

However to rent the equipment you need a credit card with over 1000 pound limit. I am student i don't have credit card i know the reason for using a credit card for rentals is because if a piece equipment gets damaged or not returned they can be charged for it. But this not accessible to all especially students as lot of us dont have credit card therefore we wouldn't be able to rent from Calumet. I think for starting out professional it is beneficial tool to be able try before you buy as you could have loan to be able to buy equipment by trying the equipment first you can see where your money would be spent

This is good to know for the last year if i decide to do a studio space there is inside space available. Also what comes with this hire is a discount to the store of 25% which is also good to know.
