This is the landscape portfolio I produced last year, It was landscape based portfolio but as you can see it is a really mismatched portfolio that doesn't have a definite style in it. I was looking at different areas of landscape photography but that is not reflected in the work below which is why it was not successful.

This year I want to create work about crime and documenting crime, I am making work about crime for the degree show and I have always had an interest in crime but due to my science knowledge not being the best I was unsure if I could go into forensic photography. I will try and found if I can go into forensic photography. I produced landscape photography because I thought it was easier for me to create the work. But I can see a future in landscape photography hence the reason I want to produce different work.If I cant I have said I want to look at photojournalism focusing on reporting on events that have happened especially crime. I want to create work about the crime which means I could include work from The Pusher exhibition.But I want to create new work in a documentary style maybe in a newspaper manner with text i am not sure.
Pusher exhibition work
As part of my portfolio this year i think i am going to use work from international markets and contexts, In this module i was put in a group and we decided to create work about The Pusher.

Here is the work i produced last year,I created evidence for The Pusher as there was so little evidence to do with this case so i created footprint and handprint evidence by the canal where the murders took place. I like the images and it worked well for the exhibition as the images were viewed on the floor as part of a crime scene investigation.

Although i was happy with images and the way my worked look i think that two of the images may need to be reproduced if i want these images as part of my portfolio. I think the handprint images are good enough to be in my portfolio as they represent the evidence of what i would expect to be found when The Pusher strikes. The footprint images are too blurred and not bright enough to appear in a portfolio. They were fine when they were viewed on the floor as you viewing the images from a distance as there was crime scene tape across the floor so the audience had to stand behind it.
I think recreating the footprint images maybe by using a flash gun like real forensic photographers do would brighten the images and make my images look more authentic to how crime scene images should look. I haven't used a flash gun before but i am about to when creating my NMP degree show project. i really think it would really help with my work to use a flash gun.
